Biomechanical and Microstructural Characterizations of Tissue Leaflets for the Four Heart Valves
Presented by Luke Hudson
Luke Hudson is a Mechanical Engineering M.S. student in the Biomechanics and Biomaterials Design Laboratory at the University of Oklahoma. Upon the completion of his degree in May 2021, Luke will attend the University of Utah for his Ph.D. study where he will continue to pursue biomechanics research in relation to the musculoskeletal systems of the human body.
Modeling and Simulation of the Tricuspid Heart Valve
Presented by Devin Laurence
Devin Laurence is a Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. candidate in the Biomechanics and Biomaterials Design Laboratory at the University of Oklahoma. He was recently awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and the American Heart Association/Children’s Heart Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellowship. Upon the completion of his degree in May 2022, Devin plans to pursue a career in academia where he will seek to expand the understanding biomechanics of healthy and diseased soft tissues.
