Northeast Oklahoma City is a historically Black community shaped by generations of entrepreneurship and leadership. As the district grows, we’re committed to honoring this neighborhood's legacy and supporting its people.
Expanding Access Through Innovation Week
In partnership with Science Museum Oklahoma, we welcome more than 1,000 seventh graders from OKCPS schools and two Eastside private schools for Innovation Week. Students spend three days exploring STEAM through hands-on experiences and meeting professionals working in fields they could one day pursue themselves.
Development across NE OKC is building momentum.
MAPS 4 and other community-led efforts are bringing new investment into the area through safer streets, better connections, improved public spaces and stronger support for local businesses and neighborhoods.
